When it comes to lodging options in the scenic whispering pines town of Pine, Arizona there’s a new kid in town and this newcomer shines in every way.
The Lodge at 5600 was built from the ground up by owners Brian and Lisa Herold. This place is their beloved baby and the love shows in every detail that the duo painstakingly put into every last corner of the lovely boutique resort. You can’t beat the pristine location as the lodge sits perfectly on a plot that sports an expansive and breathtaking view of the grand Mogollon Rim.
Eight beautifully appointed rooms are offered and each have either a patio or balcony view that can’t be beat. I slept like a baby in the comfy flannel sheets the night I stayed at the property. Each room features unbelievable views of the rim, an electric fireplace that changes colors, a no curb shower with a rainfall water head and live edge furniture that is made by local artists, among other desirable ammenities.
Special occasions, retreats and gatherings can also be booked to have exclusive use of the lodge. Check the hotel’s website for specials, discounts, special events and partnerships with local businesses, too.
Guests can walk several steps from their cozy room to the inviting upper pavilion that provides for perfect photo ops all year long. While lounging on the deck, sit by the fireplace, watch the big screen TV or relax quietly to just breathe. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and breathe out the stress of every day life. This place lets you do just that effortlessly.
Dogs are very welcome at the Lodge at 5600 with even a dog-themed room available complete with treats and toys for your precious pooch. A dog-friendly outside area offers outdoor games for the humans to play, too.
Specialty coffees, herbal teas, local culinary delights and even gifts and souvenirs are offered at the quaint Elk Brew Coffee Company that is located just adjacent to the rooms. The charming coffee shop is locally owned by Michele Walston and veteran owned by Ian Walton with gourmet fare provided by local chef Barbara Frazin. No big corporate chain ownership here at this property…all local love and guests can feel it.
